Alice In Wonderland

Alice in wonderland costumes is a great way to relive the fantasy of when you were growing up and if you are a person aged around the 50 mark you will remember the good old days when TV was in black and white and didn’t have the choice in channels like you do now.

I remember especially in winter while Mom and Dad watched the news on TV we were told to go to our rooms and read. I used to grumble at first about this but found that it served two purposes it kept me warm by jumping into bed and lastly it gave me a bit of escapism as my mind would run wild when reading the adventures of Alice in Wonderland. When you think about it the author Carroll was way ahead of his time with his imagination running wild with the stories of Alice falling down the rabbit hole and how the adventures unfolded along the way. I really have to wonder what the thoughts of the people who Carroll allowed to read his novel before it went into print. Was it just a polite smile and people saying “yes that is interesting” or was it thought of many that he perhaps had too many drinks when he wrote it. Of course we will never know the true feelings of others. It is only today that you fully appreciate the creativity of the author has come to life with the Alice in Wonderland movie released this year. The children of today are also still reading this classic story.
