There are lots of people who’ve spent $000’s on broken promises which have consequently brought about shattered dreams.

We are so eager to jump onto the Internet bandwagon that we will spend whatever is necessary to get *on board*. We are like lemmings hurling ourselves from the precipice of the Internet Mountain into the seas of the World Wide Web. It is incredible.

I don’t know how this phenomenon came about, but I witness it every day and receive dozens of emails from disillusioned visitors to my many sites who are both frantic at having lost so much money, and bewildered as to how they are going to progress in pursuit of their goals and dreams.

If you want to create a web site whereby your family and friends can make frequent visits to catch up on your family’s activities and developments, then the simplest thing to do is to acquire a free template, of which there are thousands available, and launch the site with a free hosting service. There is absolutely no need to buy anything if this is all you want to do. Alternatively, simply join one or more of the social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook or MySpace.

However, if you are creating your own web site to establish an online business presence, then you would have to approach this kind of project in a more professional, objective and pragmatic manner; just as would any kind of planned business project.

There are many steps in building a successful online business and it is important to know what these steps are and how to implement them, but perhaps more importantly, you need to know how to market yourself (your brand of one) and your business.

One of the simplest and most successful ways of implementing your online enterprise is to be guided by someone who has already been through the process (successfully), who can offer some proof of what they have achieved; and you can achieve.

There are tens of thousands of people who have spawned triumphant ventures from their hobbies and passion. Others have drawn upon their life-time skill-sets as a basis for their motivation and drive to create their own website businesses; perhaps you could do the same.
