I am sure that you have already noticed that there are several types of parenting styles out there, and that not every parent will agree with just one certain style. This will certainly depend on each parent because each parent will see some parenting styles as appropriate and others will not. I think the parents views on certain styles will be influenced by the way they were raised while they were growing up.
In addition, some parenting styles will be different due to their own culture or traditions, and they can also be taken in a different manner depending on the region. For example, if you were to decide to let your kid figure things out on their own, some people might consider that as being cold and distant, while other parents might look at this as an effective manner on how to teach a kid how to be independent. In certain cultures around the globe, this can be a trait that is well respected. This unique diversity and difference of opinions about how to raise a child is why there are numerous parenting styles that exists in the world.
Additionally, the temperament of the child and the culture that they are raised in will more than likely contribute to the outcome. You might have a child that is temperamentally a go-getter and when you combine it with a culture that has a go-getter mentality, this could very well produce a good situation. On the other hand, if the kid is temperamentally timid, this might end up being a bad situation. It’s difficult to say until you try it out and see what happens. In the end, the important thing is how the kid turns out and how they feel about it because whatever they experience as a child will probably influence the next generation of kids and generations to come.
