This article is for anyone and everyone who owns and rides a motorcycle.
It goes without say that I am an avid street rider with numerous track days under my belt.
I also ride with professional racers at the track on member days and have gained a great deal of knowledge. This is a testimony and experience to share with other motorcycle riders with the hope that they will to learn to wear the proper motorcycle gear!
Here’s my story:
…Recently, I was riding my Honda RC51 on the street that day.
Conditions were great for riding.
I accelerated through the gears and was somewhere close to 90 mph and the throttle stuck on me!
In an effort to slow the bike, I gently applied pressure to the front brake causing the front end to tuck.
I went down hard on my left side.
I slid on the asphalt well over 300 feet and as the bike passed me sliding, I thought, “this can’t be good”! The bike hit the guard rail hard and broke the front rim.
Thanks to Komodo Gear, the Ceno mesh street jacket and Ceno street gloves I was wearing saved my life. I walked away – can’t say that about my bike .
The ceno mesh street jacket from Komodo Gear took a real beating on the forearms It slid on the concrete the whole time and the mesh on the jacket did burn in some sports due to abrasion (as expected). The motorcycle mesh gloves absorbed a lot of abrasion – everywhere – including the knuckles. What suprised me is that I did not feel the heat from the abrasion and I have no road rash This was a eye opening experience and will always wear Komodo Gear because of its quality. It saved my hide – literally!
