Gothic vampire costumes are a great choice for any fancy dress event and especially for Halloween. The costume is dark, chilling but stylish. You will certainly cut a dashing figure and, hopefully, exert the magnetic effect typical of a vampire on those around you.
Vampires seem to be having a media heyday at present with all the new series on TV like True Blood and Vampire Diaries and also the extremely popular films like Twilight. So, what better time to base a fancy dress event on the theme of the Undead.
Because of my age, the actor that comes to mind most when I think of Dracula and vampires is Christopher Lee and the series of vampire movies that he made. There was no concept at that time that there could be such a thing as a good vampire. The other actor that comes to mind is Gary Oldman in the 1992 Dracula movie which also starred Winona Rider. I think these films give the right inspiration for a Halloween vampire costume.
