It may be that your company has been trying to do too much. As well as providing your products or services, you’ve got accounting and marketing and packaging and record-keeping and computer systems and… Well, you get the picture.
There are a lot of elements to being in business that turn out not to have much to do with the business you got into in the first place. If you make lawn chairs, you may wonder why so much of the company’s efforts go into administering pension plans. You might operate a delivery service, yet look around in some bemusement at all the computer programmers in the company.
The answer, say the business boosters, is to outsource. Let someone else do the work you don’t want to do, or aren’t that good at, so you or the company can get on with your real business purpose.
In my country we hire poolse werknemers. An outsourcing company selects the best and most reliable work forces, poolse uitzendkrachten we say, so that companies that want to outsource jobs can safely do so.
