Preparing for your pregnancy trimesters might be the smartest thing you can do when you have become pregnant or are trying to conceive. Knowing what to expect might help you deal with some of the symptoms that usually are uncomfortable. Without the shock factor, you will also relieve yourself from the fear that might arise when you experience the changes happening in your body.
The three trimesters of pregnancy all have their specific symptoms. The most well known symptom of all of pregnancy is probably morning sickness. The term “morning sickness” is unfortunately a bit misleading, as the sickness can be experienced all times of the day. Usually morning sickness is over before the second trimester starts, and some women don’t experience this symptom that strongly. It is caused by all the hormones released in your body do to your pregnancy, which your body just isn’t used to.
Other symptoms of the first trimester are cramping, tender breasts, and food cravings or disgust. When the second trimester starts at week 13, most of the symptoms experienced up until then have most likely gone away. Some women feel the second trimester is the easiest of the trimesters, feeling a boost of energy and strength.
The third trimester is probably the toughest. After all, you tummy is now holding a 2-3 pound child, and getting sleep might now become a problem. Finding a position that doesn’t hurt is the main problem at night, so try to catch up on your sleep in the day time. The third trimester should be used to get as much rest as possible. You will probably be gaining some weight and experience a shortness of breath do to all the extra pounds you have to carry around, so try to take it as easy as possible.
As mentioned above, knowing what to expect during pregnancy can be a great way to prepare yourself for some of the symptoms that might not be that comfortable during your trimesters. You want you pregnancy to be the most joyful it can be. After all, a new child will soon come in to your world, and you want all the positive energy you can have when the time comes to deliver.
