If you love Disney films and fairy stories, Princess Ariel Costumes are very beautiful. Princess Ariel is a mermaid and she’s originally based upon Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid story. At the end of the Little Mermaid 1989 film she is transformed into a human by King Triton’s magical trident in order to be with her beloved Prince Eric. She is one of King Triton’s seven daughters.
She marries Prince Eric and has a daughter named Melody. In the second Little Mermaid film she has to resume her life as a mermaid in order to rescue her daughter. The color of her tail is a beautiful blue-green hue which was named Ariel. Ariel costumes tend to be a similar color.
The first known mermaid stories date back to Assyria around 1000 B.C. Clearly, we’ve always been fascinated by the idea of mermaids and mermen. Costumes for Ariel are mostly like dresses although some do imitate her mermaid aspect more closely. A realistic mermaid costume wouldn’t be very practical!
