If you have an electric wheelchair or mobility scooter, you probably love to hate it. Technology is great until it doesn’t work, isn’t it, especially when we are so dependent on our wheels to get us around. One thing that you may find you need from time to time is replacement electric wheelchair parts. Things to break, and motorized wheelchairs can be expensive to replace, so it makes sense to do some repairs and keep your chair up and running as long as you can.
Common items that need to be replaced are wheelchair batteries, wheels/tires and seats and cushions for the armrests. If it’s not one thing, it’s another… you probably know where your wheelchair tends to get the most wear and tear.
Of course, whenever you look at replacing or fixing a wheelchair, it’s a good idea to do a cost comparison to see if it makes sense to spring for the repair, or start looking at a new power scooter or electric wheelchair. One popular model is the Invacare Zoom 400 scooter. If you haven’t heard of it, you can learn more about it on our wheelchair focused website!
