Signs Of A Stroke

Tens of thousands of people die each year in the U.S. alone from strokes. Strokes basically are the result of an arterial blockage that starves the brain of blood and kills brain cells. Sometimes they result from a piece of plaque breaking off in your artery and becoming lodged in your brain.

Fortunately, medical science has enabled persons with arterial disease to manage and even monitor their cardiovascular condition to prevent a stroke from occurring. But unfortunately many persons with dangerous heart disease are unaware of their problem.

If someone is having a stroke, he or she can be saved in most cases if they are treated by a physician within three hours of the stroke. So it’s important for people to be able to recognize the signs of a stroke to save the victim’s life.
