Chronic back pain can be a bummer, and often leaves you immobilized on the couch feeling sorry for your self. However, lying on the couch is no solution. The cure for relieving back pain is often changing your daily habits and posture, as the problem often manifests itself after years and years leaning over a desk.
The way people work today is a lot different from how a work day looked like for 100 years ago. The monotone office environment can lead to strains on the lower back which it is not “designed” for (or evolved to). It can often be as simple as getting up, stretching out and walking, once per hour. It can actually have a large effect on relieving your back pain. Try it out!
Another tip is to exercise more. Since your core muscles influence your posture, to a large degree, working out your back and front muscles can help you relief your back pain. As a final advice, check if your office chair is designed to give you ergonomic back support and not only look good.
